It quickly grew and in 1931, a company called the 'Earl Shilton Bowling and Recreational Club Co. Ltd' was formed to purchase a field and establish a full-size green with six rinks and a clubhouse.

This company is still active today and focuses on the promotion of flat green lawn bowls.
