Northern Strength in Warrington is pumped to announce the King/Queen of the North Deadlift Competition happening on September 21st, 2024. This is the chance for all the folks out there to step up, show off their strength, and battle it out for some awesome prizes in the deadlift category. Whether you're a male or female lifter, everyone is welcome to join in on the fun.
Participants will get three attempts to pull off their heaviest deadlift ever and aim for the titles of King or Queen of the North. Winners will be determined using the Wilks formula and will snag some sweet prizes for grabbing 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place in each category. This event is all about having a good time and showcasing your strength. It's open to everyone, so you don't need any fancy memberships or special gear to get in on the action.
Just remember, we'll be sticking to the official rules and kit requirements. That means deadlift bars and knee-length socks are a must. No straps or hitching allowed during the lifts – we want to keep it fair and square. The competition will be run following the GPC commands.
We'll be kicking things off bright and early with weigh-ins happening from 8am to 9am, and the lifting set to start at 11am. This is your shot to come out, flex those muscles, and have a blast in a supportive yet competitive atmosphere at Northern Strength.
