About
This long and illustrious history is what sets Kincardine Karate Club apart from other dojos in the area. Led by Sensei Holly Lang, who has been training in karate since 1994, the club aims to share the knowledge and traditions of Goju-Ryu Karate with students of all ages. Sensei Holly Lang received her Yondan (4th degree black belt) from the late Hanshi Bill Hind in November 2020, solidifying her commitment to the art of karate.
Kyoshi Steve Liddle, who has been a student of Goju-Ryu Karate for over 30 years, continues to teach and train regularly at the Kincardine Dojo. With a 7th dan black belt earned in 2012 from the late Hanshi Bill Hind, Kyoshi Steve brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to students of all levels.
Classes at the Kincardine Karate Club are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from September to May, catering to kids aged 4-10, intermediate students aged 10-14, and adults of all ages. In the summer, special classes are offered as well. The dojo also offers the martial arts of Goju-ryu Karate, street-style self-defence, and Kubodo (weapons training), providing a comprehensive curriculum for all students.
With a focus on respect, physical fitness, mental discipline, and self-confidence, the Canada Goju Karate Association at Kincardine Karate Club provides a supportive and encouraging environment for students to grow and develop their skills. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced martial artist, the Kincardine Karate Club welcomes all who are interested in learning the art of Goju-Ryu Karate-do.
