About
Nestled in the townland of Killeen, just off the N7 at Kill, Killeen Golf Club offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere to golf enthusiasts of all skill levels. Established in 1980 by former Kildare football star Paddy Boiler White, the club started as a short course on 96 acres known as Four Lakes. Over the years, the facility underwent several developments and renovations, including the addition of six new holes designed by renowned golf course designer Pat Ruddy.
Under the ownership of Riverbury Ltd. and later Anthony Hickey, Killeen Golf Club evolved into its current layout of 6,743 yards with a par of 72. The course was officially opened in June 2003 by European Tour member Wayne Westner. The club's commitment to equality and inclusivity is reflected in its history as an equal rights club, and its affiliation with the Golfing Union of Ireland since 1992.
With a dedicated team led by Club Professional Shane McCabe, Killeen Golf Club offers a range of membership options and facilities, including reciprocal course arrangements with Dundrum House Hotel Golf & Leisure Resort in Co. Tipperary and Tullamore Golf Club in Co. Offaly. The club prides itself on its friendly and vibrant community, as well as its success in various tournaments and competitions over the years.
Killeen Golf Club also extends its gratitude to its sponsors, including Cuspal Signs, Tallaght & Nutgrove Tyres, T. C. Matthews, Nissan Ireland, M50 Transport, and many more. These partnerships have played a significant role in supporting the club's growth and success.
For those looking to experience golf in a scenic and inclusive setting, Killeen Golf Club is a perfect destination in Kildare.
