Cricket Club is all set to kick off the 2023 season on April 15th with great enthusiasm and high hopes. The club has witnessed significant growth, both in the number of players and in achievements, with a league win in division 9 open league in 2021. Kilkenny Cricket Club has established itself as one of the top clubs in the region, setting the stage for an exciting season ahead.
The club boasts of three senior men's teams playing in Cricket Leinster league divisions 7, 17, and 18, along with a youth team and a women's team. The club provides excellent training facilities including two dedicated practise nets, a bowling machine, and cricket drills conducted by certified coaches. Training sessions are conducted regularly for children, youth, women, and adults, welcoming players of all levels to join the growing KKCC family.
One of the highlights of the club's event calendar is the upcoming Family Day Out on August 27th, featuring a charity cricket match showcasing Kilkenny Hurling and Camogie Legends alongside Ireland international cricketer, Simi Singh. This unique event promises a blend of skills from both hurling and cricket, offering spectators a thrilling experience. The day will also feature Simi Singh displaying his exceptional all-round cricketing skills, making it an event not to be missed.
