Kiks Dance Company

Kiks Dance Company, located in the vibrant Bankstown area of Sydney's Western suburbs, is a fun and friendly dance studio. Situated in the prime location of Bankstown Arts Centre, it offers easy and convenient access for students from the surrounding area. At KDC, every student is provided with a positive, fun, and safe dance environment.

Led by Principal/Director Charissa Christodoulou, who has been trained in the art of dance since the age of 3, Kiks Dance Company prides itself on its commitment to excellence. Charissa has passed all her Cecchetti Ballet exams and holds her Associate 'A. C. B.

A-C. I. B' qualification. She possesses a wealth of knowledge and experience in the dance world, including the Cecchetti Ballet method, ISTD Modern Theatre, and Tap.

Charissa has various professional experiences, including performing in the showgirl act 'The Golden Girls,' being an X-factor backup dancer, and receiving multiple scholarships and awards.

With a strong focus on classical trained technique, along with recognition for her unique choreography in Contemporary and ballet, Charissa has trained numerous dancers over the years. Additionally, she has established a solid reputation with NSW public schools, choreographing multiple primary school performances and routines. Charissa has also worked with gymnasts, providing them with ballet technique classes and choreographing floor routines for Gymnastics New South Wales.

While Kiks Dance Company believes that ballet training is the foundation for becoming the ultimate successful dancer, the studio encourages its students to explore other styles such as Jazz, Lyrical, Tap, and more to become well-rounded dancers. The studio takes pride in creating a family environment where students feel comfortable and at home. It is a place for students to wander, explore, and fulfil their dreams.
