Enrolment for Term 1 pixies and kids class at Taketani Judo Academy is now closed. They are not accepting new members this term. Unfortunately, the Term 2 Kids Class (ages 7-14) is currently full, and they are unable to accommodate new members. However, if you're still interested, you can book a spot for the Term 2 Pixies Class trial which will take place from the 15th to the 20th of April. Simply get in touch with them to secure your child's place.
These classes are specifically designed for children between the ages of 7 and 14. During the classes, students are divided into 2 or 3 groups to ensure that everyone receives personalised attention based on their abilities. It's worth mentioning that the academy currently has 5 state junior champions training with them, so you can be assured that your child will be learning from skilled practitioners.
In these classes, your child will learn the fundamentals of Judo, including throwing, pinning, and the etiquette required for the sport. They will also work on improving their strength, flexibility, fitness, and coordination. Additionally, they will develop throwing techniques and enhanced competition strategies, becoming proficient in all aspects of groundwork.
When it comes to fees, the joining fee is $120, the term fee is $285, and there is an annual membership fee of $65 (which is collected in January of each year). The schedule for the classes is as follows: Monday and Wednesday from 5pm to 6.30pm, Friday fitness class from 5pm to 6pm, and Saturday from 10am to 11.30am.
Taketani Judo Academy offers a “one week free trial” at the start of each term if the class is not full. The joining fee includes a set of Judo suit. Furthermore, they provide a 10% discount on the term fee for second and third family members. It's important to note that participants can attend the classes as many times as they wish, but no discounts are given for attending only once a week. Unfortunately, there are no refunds for any payments for any reason.
You can find the timetable for the classes and all the necessary contact details below. Make sure to reach out and book a spot for your child. However, please bear in mind that trials are only available during the first week of the school term and are not available during school terms or school holidays. Taketani Judo Academy does not accept new members during these periods. If you have any further questions or need extra clarification, feel free to drop them a line. You can locate the academy at 35 Clifford Street, Huntingdale, Victoria.
