Established in January 2015 by Steve “The Steamrolla” Kennedy, a highly experienced and accomplished MMA practitioner, KICKASS MMA offers a purpose-built facility where individuals can train alongside some of Australia's best athletes in various combat sports.

Steve “The Steamrolla” Kennedy, the founder of KICKASS MMA, brings a wealth of experience to the centre. As Western Australia's most experienced MMA practitioner, he has competed internationally and excelled in all components of MMA. With a background as a National champion wrestler, a BJJ Black belt, and experience as a professional boxer and kickboxer, Steve is highly qualified to create an optimal training environment for members. Additionally, he holds a bachelor's degree in exercise science, specialising in sports performance and sports nutrition, further enhancing his ability to assist individuals in their fitness journeys.
KICKASS MMA invites individuals to try their services with a one-week free trial. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or a beginner, the centre is dedicated to providing a positive and constructive training experience. From the moment you step foot in the facility, you'll understand that KICKASS MMA has been built by fighters, for fighters.
The centre offers a variety of classes to cater to different interests and skill levels. MMA Competition training is available for those specifically interested in mixed martial arts, providing comprehensive instruction in strikes, submissions, positions, and transitions. Striking classes combine boxing, Muay Thai, and K1 style striking, with a focus on building the necessary skills for MMA competitors. Boxing fitness classes provide a high-paced group workout, incorporating basic punching skills while getting you in great shape.
Advanced boxing classes are perfect for experienced individuals seeking a more challenging experience, including professional competitive boxers.
Wrestling classes at KICKASS MMA teach Olympic freestyle wrestling techniques, offering self-defence skills and an incredibly physically demanding workout. Sparring sessions are also available for experienced boxers and kickboxers who want to get some rounds in with the professional fight team. Rolling sessions allow individuals to practise grappling techniques in a friendly and supportive environment, promoting skill development without politics. The Grappling programme focuses on submission wrestling, utilising No-Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, catch wrestling, and other techniques from Greco-Roman wrestling, Judo, and freestyle wrestling.
This well-rounded programme includes conditioning, instructional techniques, and free roll time.
