Keyworth school of theatre dance

Established in 1976, Keyworth School of Theatre Dance (KSTD) is a well-regarded dance school located at Webster Hall on Nottingham Road in Keyworth. Kirsty Callender, the organiser, is inviting over 200 students from Keyworth and nearby villages to join a range of dance disciplines. The school offers Classical Ballet, Contemporary Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz, Street Dance, Cheerleading, Theatre Craft, Musical Theatre, Irish Riverdance, Jazz, and Singing.

Kirsty wants students to know that KSTD prides itself on a welcoming atmosphere and a supportive environment. With over 70 years of teaching experience collectively, the instructors are dedicated to providing top-quality dance education. They are also licenced to teach Melody Movement and Little Bear Feet with Melody Bear, offering pre-school classes to introduce young children to dance.

KSTD’s curriculum prepares students for IDTA examinations. Students also participate in shows, showcasing their talents on stage and raising funds for charities. The school has a successful track record in competitions and examinations, with pupils achieving notable accomplishments in stage, television, pantomime, and prestigious dance colleges.

Kirsty and her team have scheduled classes throughout the week, from Monday to Saturday, in both Keyworth and Tollerton. They welcome students of all skill levels, emphasising the joy of dance and a desire to learn. The experienced teachers are committed to helping students develop their skills and nurturing their passion for dance.
