Our club, Kensho Karate, is widely known for its family-friendly environment and top-notch training. Located at the Team Valley in Gateshead, our dojo has been providing world-class tuition since 2003 under the guidance of our founder, Lee Lamb. With our dedication to excellence, we have successfully trained thousands of individuals across the North East.
No matter your age, level or ability, we have something to offer you. Our experienced instructors tailor their teaching to suit each student's goals and needs, ensuring that you receive the best possible training. We believe in a well-rounded approach and incorporate not only the fundamental aspects of the martial art but also fitness and conditioning into our classes.
At Kensho Karate, we love a challenge! Many of our students have the opportunity to train and compete both nationally and internationally. We take great pride in coaching and developing European/world-level medallists and champions. If you're looking to take your Karate skills to the next level, our club is where you need to be.
If you're new to Karate or simply interested in seeing what we're all about, we welcome you to join us for a free first class or taster session. This will give you a taste of our training methods and the chance to experience the friendly atmosphere at Kensho Karate. After that, classes are priced at a very reasonable £6 per session, which lasts for one hour.
In addition to our regular classes, we also offer small group, one-to-two, and one-to-one sessions. These options allow for focused training on specific areas of development. Please note that prices for these sessions will vary depending on the instructor and duration.

Kensho Extended School Services is a program that has provided countless school children, from all different backgrounds, the chance to learn self-defence in a fun and inspiring environment.
