About

A t-shirt. As you progress, you may want to invest in your own iaito (practise sword) and hakama (traditional Japanese pants).

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT IN A CLASS? Each class begins with a warm-up to prepare your body for the movements involved in iaido. You will then practise various katas, under the guidance of our experienced instructors. The focus is on developing correct form, concentration, and mental presence.

IS IAIDO SUITABLE FOR BEGINNERS? Absolutely! We welcome students of all levels, including beginners. Our instructors will guide you through the basics and provide clear instructions to ensure you learn at your own pace.

DO I NEED TO HAVE PREVIOUS MARTIAL ARTS EXPERIENCE? No, previous martial arts experience is not necessary. Iaido is a unique martial art that can be practised by anyone, regardless of their previous training or fitness level.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF Practising IAIDO? Practising iaido offers numerous benefits, including improved physical fitness, increased mental focus and concentration, enhanced self-discipline, and the opportunity to explore and connect with Japanese culture and tradition.

CAN I COMPETE IN IAIDO? Iaido does not involve direct competition or sparring. It is a non-contact martial art focused on precision and controlled movements. The emphasis is on personal growth and self-improvement rather than competing against others.
