Marcus has been a member of the Saint John Fundy TIDE swim team for 7 years, where he currently holds 2 individual open age group club records in the butterfly stroke.

In addition to his competitive swimming background, Marcus has been coaching junior groups at TIDE for the past 2 years, working with swimmers aged 9 to 13. He is fluent in both English and French, allowing him to provide instruction in either language. Marcus also has experience working as a lifeguard at various locations in Quispamsis, including Meenan's Cove, Gondola Point, and Rockwood Park, and currently works as a lifeguard at the Canada Games Aquatic Centre.
