Kawartha Children's Dance Center

Program for children ages 2 to 4, introducing them to ballet and creative movement in a fun and playful way to spark an early love of dance. For children ages 3 to 7, we offer a fun and energetic introductory class set to today's music, where kids learn to march, skip, jump, leap, and stretch their bodies appropriately. Boys are welcome in all classes.

Our Jazz classes are taught with the ADAPT Jazz syllabus, with exams offered every year for students aged 6 and up. We have a 100% pass rate and offer classes ranging from Pre-Junior to Advanced levels. Lyrical dance routines at our studio have won top choreography awards at competitions, showcasing our dedication to excellence in dance education.

For those who love street-style dance, our Hip Hop classes offer junior, senior, and elite levels, with fast combinations, dances, and corner work taught by experienced instructors. Our Acro classes combine gymnastics and dance, offering both recreational and competitive options for students who want to mix the two disciplines.

Ballet enthusiasts can enjoy classical training in RAD, BATD, and our new Cecchetti classes, with exams offered in all types of Ballet. Pointe work is built into our RAD Ballet classes, making it mandatory for those preparing for exams. We also train student teachers to become qualified BATD Ballet instructors.

The team at Kawartha Children's Dance Centre is led by Owner/Artistic Director and Dance Teacher Ray Harlow, who brings over 10 years of competition experience to the studio. Ray is joined by passionate dance teachers Skye Woolacott and Mikayla Ransberry, each bringing their unique talents and love for dance to the KCDC team.
