The KASS Survival and Learn to Swim Program at Kids Aquatic Survival School Dingley Village is not your typical swimming program. We understand that teaching children the basics of swimming is important, but we go beyond that. Our focus is on equipping children aged 6 months to 6 years with the necessary aquatic survival skills.
While regular swim lessons for this age group primarily involve getting familiar with the water, we take it a step further. Our aim is to teach children how to swim and float without relying on any sort of floatation aids or parents holding them in the water. We believe that simply being able to swim a few feet may not be enough in an emergency situation.
Our program is carefully designed to provide an extra layer of protection against drowning. Our specialised instructors work with children privately, ensuring individual attention and personalised guidance. During the lessons, children will learn essential skills such as floating and breathing posture, which can be crucial if getting to safety becomes difficult.
But we don't stop there. Once the child completes the program, they will go through a unique simulation. They will experience what it's like to have an accidental fall into water while wearing full winter clothing. This simulation is important because most drownings in children occur due to falls into the water while fully clothed. We want to ensure that children are prepared for any situation they may encounter.
The KASS Survival and Learn to Swim Program is approximately 8 weeks long, with 5 lessons per week. We believe that consistency is key in building these life-saving skills. We understand that investing in your child's safety is significant, which is why the cost for the program is $170 per week per child.
