Are you the owner of Karate Wavendon Gate?

Pete, the organiser of Karate Wavendon Gate in Milton Keynes, wants to share some key information with the local sports community.
Karate Wavendon Gate offers karate classes for anyone aged 5 and above, focusing on fun, fitness, and self-defence. Pete aims to create a positive environment where students, grouped by skill level, can train with friends, learn new techniques, build confidence, and progress at their own pace.
The classes are designed to enhance aerobic fitness, strength, flexibility, and mindfulness through activities like pad work, kata, and learning to throw and fall. These sessions help develop both physical competence and mental resilience.
Beginners' classes are every Saturday from 11:15 am to 12:15 pm and on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 pm to 7 pm, including during school holidays. Intermediate students train on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7 pm to 8 pm, and on Saturdays from 12:15 pm to 1:15 pm.
Classes take place at the Wavendon Community Centre on Walton Road (What3Words: “lions. Fruit. Softly”). While most of the students are of school age, individuals of all ages can join, even training with their children.
The instructor, Sensei Pete, holds black belts in Judo and Shotokan karate and brings a wealth of experience. He started training at a young age and is dedicated to his students. Pete is also a family man, guitar teacher, and triathlon participant.
For those thinking of joining, the first lesson is free. After that, the monthly fee is £30 (or £7 per week), with an option for an additional hour of training for £50 per month. Students need to buy a Shinri branded Gi for £30 upon earning their first belt.
Karate Wavendon Gate includes a grading system to track student progress. Sensei Pete will guide students on when they're ready to grade, and these sessions are included in the monthly fee.
Parents interested in enrolling their children can drop them off at 6 pm (12:15 pm on Saturdays) and pick them up at 7 pm (1:15 pm on Saturdays). Contact information and any relevant medical details are needed, provided via the “New Starter Form” on the website.
Karate Wavendon Gate prioritises the privacy and security of its students, adhering to a strict privacy policy and only collecting personal data through contact forms or emails.
Pete looks forward to welcoming new students to Karate Wavendon Gate.
