This club focuses on traditional Okinawan (Japanese) Karate and regularly updates its instructors and students with the latest techniques by attending seminars both locally and overseas. Whether you are a white belt or an experienced practitioner, you can expect to learn basic blocks, strikes, kicks, and sets of moves.
At Kyoukei Goju Ryu Karate The Ponds, grading typically takes place around the 10-week mark, as long as you have a good grasp of the basics. Regular training is crucial for steady progress and allows you to develop not only self-defence skills but also qualities such as respect, self-esteem, dedication, and discipline.
For younger members, this club offers the opportunity to develop leadership skills by assisting lower graded and younger students under the guidance of club instructors. Parents play a crucial role in ensuring their child's attendance and punctuality, as these factors greatly contribute to their progress.
