About
Mental health. The Kap Nordic Skiers club is dedicated to promoting cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in the Kapuskasing area. With groomed trails for both classic and skate skiing, members can enjoy the great outdoors during the winter months.
The club offers a variety of programs and events for all levels of skiers, including a ski program running from January to March. In addition to regular skiing and snowshoeing activities, the club also hosts special events such as Winterfest and potluck suppers for members to enjoy.
The club's chalet is managed by volunteers and is open on weekdays from 11 am to 3 pm and weekends from 11 am to 4 pm. However, there may be days when the chalet is closed, so members are encouraged to cheque the club's social media page for updates on trail conditions and chalet hours.
Membership rates, day passes, and equipment rentals are available for those who wish to join the club and make use of the groomed trails. The club recently acquired a new groomer thanks to the support of various sponsors and community members, ensuring that members can continue to enjoy top-quality trails for years to come.
Kap Nordic Skiers is grateful for the support of the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation and Caisse Alliance Kapuskasing, whose contributions have made it possible for the club to upgrade its equipment and facilities. By providing a space for outdoor recreation and promoting physical and mental well-being, the club plays an important role in bringing the community together in the wintertime.
