Kanimbla Charters is a fishing charter located in Gladstone Central, offering an exceptional extended charter experience. Guests are invited to join the comfortable, spacious, and well-appointed 25m catamaran named Kanimbla as they cruise the magnificent Great Barrier Reef. The charter operates 7 and 10-day trips to the Swains Reefs and The Coral Sea, while also being available for charters along the Queensland coast.
Kanimbla Charters prides itself on providing superior service, aiming to create a memorable fishing or diving holiday for its guests. The company is owned and operated by Brad & Narelle Watts, who along with their experienced crew, have grown Kanimbla Charters into a market leader since its establishment in 1997.
The flagship boat, Kanimbla, is a 25m/82ft aluminium ship with a catamaran design that offers maximum stability at sea. The cruising speed is 10 knots, and the wide beam and three levels provide a spacious living area and ample deck space for fishing and diving activities. All living areas are fully air-conditioned, and the 4 and 2 berth cabins can comfortably accommodate up to 20 guests. The Saloon is equipped with Foxtel, USB Jack, and a Sound System, creating a comfortable area for dining and relaxation.
For fishermen and divers, Kanimbla Charters provides a large hydraulic platform for safe and easy access to the water or the tender dinghies. Safety is a top priority, and the charter boasts a state-of-the-art navigation system and communication centre. Guests can stay connected and make calls via the satellite telephone. The boat's water tanks hold 10,000L of fresh water, and there is a desalination plant on board that produces 150L/hr.
Additionally, a dive compressor is available for SCUBA tank refills.
To further enhance the fishing and diving experience, Kanimbla Charters carries a fleet of six Webster Twin Fisher dinghies. These catamaran-designed dinghies offer stability and space and are equipped with a 30hp outboard, depth sounder, AIS, safety gear, and a UHF radio. It is worth noting that guests will need a boat licence to operate the dinghies.
For those interested in booking a charter with Kanimbla Charters, availability is dependent on ongoing border closures with New South Wales and Victoria. However, the charter currently has a number of vacancies during September and October. Guests are encouraged to contact the office for further details and to secure their spot on a COVID-free fishing adventure.
With its exceptional service, comfortable accommodations, state-of-the-art amenities, and access to stunning fishing and diving locations, Kanimbla Charters is the perfect choice for anyone seeking an unforgettable charter experience on the beautiful Queensland coast.
