Kaierau Rugby Club

Welcome to Kaierau Rugby Football Club, one of the oldest rugby clubs in New Zealand, established on February 28th, 1891. Located at 100 Devon Road Springvale in Whanganui, our club holds a strong emphasis on community and family participation in sports. We take pride in our multicultural club, which welcomes individuals from all backgrounds.

Operated solely by our dedicated committee, volunteers, and members, Kaierau Rugby offers a range of sports and activities throughout the year. In addition to Senior Rugby, our club also includes a Netball club, Junior Rugby, Kickstart (our own version of touch rugby), Kaierau Gym, Rivercity Boxing, and Marangai Archery. We provide top-notch facilities for all these sports, making our club a hub of sporting activities for the local community.

At Kaierau Rugby, we believe in fostering a sense of camaraderie and sportsmanship. We offer opportunities for players of all ages and skill levels to participate and enjoy the game. Whether you're a seasoned player or new to rugby, our club provides a supportive environment for everyone to learn and grow.

To get involved with our club, you can register for Senior Rugby, Junior Rugby, or even our Old Boys Club. We have dedicated registration processes for each category to ensure a smooth and efficient experience for our members. Additionally, we provide live game updates, draws, and results, allowing you to stay connected with the action happening on our grounds.

As a club, we take pride in our representation at the Heartland squad, with eight of our players making the team. We consistently strive for excellence both on and off the field, encouraging our players to develop their skills and achieve their full potential.
