For United States Navy SEAL teams, FBI, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, York Regional Police, Toronto Police Services and many other units of the Canadian Military, while privately training local executives, entertainment personalities, and athletes including Mike Myers, Anthony Kiedis, Chris Sheppard, Geddy Lee, etc. over his lengthy distinguished career. Makoto is also a former Canadian Vice President of the World Jeet Kune Do Federation the governing body founded by Bruce Lee and Dan Inosanto. He is currently the Director of the Canadian JKD Concepts Organization, the most awarded Guro in the history of their annual convention and is a guest instructor for many other martial arts schools across the country.

Kabayama Bushidokan is a self-defence school located in Toronto, founded by Makoto Kabayama, a 24th generation samurai descendant and renowned JKD Concepts instructor.
