Just Move

Susan founded Just Move in February 2018, driven by her belief in the transformative power of movement. With a professional background in physiotherapy and a postgraduate diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine from the University of Otago, Susan offers a space that blends sports physiotherapy with Pilates and barre classes.

Just Move is not just a name—it's a philosophy rooted in Susan's education and varied experiences. The studio provides comprehensive services, including physiotherapy and mat Pilates classes, each designed to strengthen muscles, stabilise the spine, and enhance balance for proper body alignment. Susan's specialisation enables her to teach safe, effective movement patterns that address injuries, pain, and performance issues, with a particular focus on treating shoulder injuries.

Booking classes at Just Move is simplified through the StudioBookings app, allowing clients to easily reserve and manage their sessions.

Susan's journey began in Ireland, where she excelled as a junior tennis player and pursued her physiotherapy qualifications. She further honed her expertise in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy in Australia before settling in Blenheim, New Zealand.

Prompted by her mother's suggestion in 2007, Susan trained as a Pilates instructor, merging her physiotherapy practice with Pilates teaching. Despite the challenges of studying, working, and raising a family, Susan completed her postgraduate diploma to ensure she remained at the forefront of evidence-based practice.
