Welcome to Junior Jitsu, a top Martial Arts club in Wakefield dedicated to teaching Jiu Jitsu to children aged 12 and under. We have classes conveniently located at Newmillerdam, and beginners are always welcome. Our club prioritises fun and aims to provide a great introduction to Jiu Jitsu for younger children.
At Junior Jitsu, we believe in equipping children with practical self-defence techniques. Our classes empower kids, teaching them effective ways to deal with bullies. Through Jiu Jitsu training, children gain increased self-confidence, develop better discipline and social skills, and improve their balance, posture, and coordination. Furthermore, the physical nature of the sport promotes enhanced muscle and bone development.
One of the reasons why Junior Jitsu stands out is our commitment to making martial arts accessible to all. We have no membership or joining fees, and there are no contracts or direct debits. Instead, you simply pay for each session you attend. Our friendly instructors are DBS cleared, first aid trained, and fully insured.
As a family-run club, all our instructors have their own children as members, fostering a nurturing and supportive environment.

Junior Jitsu is affiliated with the West Yorkshire Schools Of Karate & Oriental Arts (WYSOK), a respected local association of Martial Arts clubs.
