Of course, being a part of Royal Wimbledon Golf Club comes with responsibilities. Junior members are expected to adhere to the basic rules of golf and the club, as well as display good golfing etiquette and sportsmanship. We aim for our juniors to become competent and competitive golfers who understand the importance of exhibiting good behaviour both on and off the golf course.
Membership is available to children of members between the ages of 10 and 18, with exceptions granted in special circumstances. We also welcome children of non-members to become junior members, with a maximum limit of 40 per academic year. Regular assessment of junior memberships ensures active participation, and memberships expire by September 30th following the junior's 18th birthday or upon completion of their school education.
Every spring, the club evaluates a select number of maturing juniors for potential full membership based on their achievements and suitability. For those who don't fall into this category, ex-juniors can still apply for membership through the normal process.
