Croham Hurst Golf Club is thrilled to announce some exciting new projects aimed at encouraging Junior golfers within the club. With a rich history of nurturing talented young golfers, the club is eager to invigorate its Junior Section. Two fantastic programs have been launched and are open to all young aspiring golfers aged 5-18.
To kick things off, the club is offering Junior Taster Sessions in collaboration with our esteemed Club Professional, Adam Aram. These engaging sessions provide children with the opportunity to try their hand at golf, getting a feel for the game by practising their putting skills and hitting balls on the range. Don't worry about equipment – we'll provide everything they need. To book a Taster Session with Adam, simply get in touch with our Pro Shop directly. With the Spring Half Term just around the corner, it's the perfect time for young budding athletes to explore something new and exciting.
Following the Taster Session, those young players who have developed a keen interest in golf can take it a step further by joining our Junior Academy. This comprehensive program consists of 10 teaching sessions held on our excellent practice facilities. In addition to receiving instruction in general play, course etiquette, and the rules of golf, our Junior Academy members will also benefit from a club card offering discounts on food, drinks, and snacks. For those who demonstrate a high level of skill and dedication, Pro Adam will assess them and offer the opportunity to become fully-fledged Junior Members. This will enable them to gain a valuable Handicap Certificate, book their own tee times, and even participate in club competitions. To ensure the smooth management and success of these initiatives, we have established a dedicated Junior Section Working Group. Led by the experienced Steve Stiller and with representation from members of both the Men's and Ladies Committees, this group will meet regularly to review progress and gather valuable feedback. Additionally, the club is actively seeking to appoint a Junior Organiser (or organisers) in the near future, further enhancing the support structure for our Junior golfers.
