The University of Essex Sport Centre is excited to offer a fantastic junior climbing program for children aged 8 onwards. Our aim is to provide children with an opportunity to explore the thrilling world of climbing, while also ensuring their safety and promoting safe practices on our climbing wall.
In these specially designed sessions, children will learn the basics of climbing and bouldering. Not only will they be physically challenged, but they will also be engaged mentally as they work on problem-solving and conquering new heights. It's a great way to keep them active, encourage their confidence, and foster a love for this exciting sport.
Parents, we invite you to come and watch your children as they conquer the climbing wall. Simply inform the instructor at reception, and they will guide you to the best vantage point. We believe that your presence and support will add to the excitement and motivation for your aspiring climbers.
Please note that children must be at least 8 years old to participate in our junior climbing program. We have carefully selected specific dates for the climbing courses, including 10 January, 17 February, 28 February, and 30 March. Each course has 10 spaces available, so it's important to book early to secure a spot for your child.
To book onto a course, parents need to complete a consent form at the beginning of each term. We kindly ask that you take a few moments to fill out this form, as it helps us ensure we have all the necessary information to provide the best experience possible for your child.
