The Kaikohe Golf and Squash Club Inc is excited to announce the upcoming Junior Boys Interprovincial Golf Tournament set to take place from the 28th of September to the 4th of October 2024 at the Cambridge Golf Club. This amateur event brings together districts such as Auckland, Northland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty/Thames Valley, Manawatu/Wanganui, Poverty Bay/East Coast, Hawkes Bay, North Harbour, Canterbury, and Otago.
For all young golf enthusiasts out there, this tournament is the place to be! Each team comprises 4 Under 19 Junior Boys, 2 Under 16 Junior Boys, and 1 Reserve player under 16. The tournament follows a Round Robin Matchplay format, providing an exciting and competitive platform for these talented players to showcase their skills.
Hosted by Waikato Golf, this event is the pinnacle of the year for junior boys in the under 19 and under 16 categories. In the 2022 edition, Northland showed their strength by clinching the 9th position, proving the level of talent and dedication in the participating teams. A big shoutout to the Team Managers Paul Allen and Kylie Jacoby for their exceptional leadership and support throughout the tournament.
