Jump In and Swim School Ltd is a swimming school and club based in Northampton, New Zealand. Founded by Judith Pennington, the school offers swimming lessons for children aged 2 and above, with a focus on water safety and building confidence in the water.
Judith Pennington is a fully qualified STA (Swimming Teachers Association) swimming instructor and a trained Waterbabies instructor. She has undergone a DBS check and holds various certifications, including STA Level 2 certificates in teaching swimming for beginners and advanced swimmers, as well as aquatic teaching for babies and pre-schoolers.
The classes at Jump In and Swim School are designed to be high-energy and lots of fun, with a small student-to-instructor ratio to ensure personalised attention. Core swimming skills are taught in a progressive and fun way, with the use of aids such as woggles, floats, and SwimFins when necessary.
For preschool-aged children, group swimming lessons are held at The Willison Sports Centre in Roade on a weekly basis during term time at 4. 15pm, 4. 45pm, and 5. 15pm.
For older children between the ages of 4 and 10, lessons are available at Hunstershields in Flore, NN7 4LZ on a weekly basis between 3. 45pm and 6. 45pm during term time.
The classes for school-age children are structured according to age, confidence, and ability, ensuring that each child can learn at their own pace and that more confident swimmers are not held back. With a maximum of 6 children per instructor, your child will receive individualised attention and instruction.
At Jump In and Swim School, the instructors are always on the lookout for new pools and instructors to expand their offerings, so please contact them if you know of any opportunities.
Come and join the Jump In and Swim School community and teach your child to swim, be safe, and have lots of fun!
