JULIA CROSS TKD is a leading martial arts gym located in South Queensferry, New Zealand. The gym was founded in 1998 by Miss Julia Cross, a highly accomplished 6th degree black belt in Taekwon-Do. With over 30 years of training experience, Miss Cross is a respected figure in the martial arts community, having won 6 World titles and 15 European titles throughout her career.
At JULIA CROSS TKD, students of all ages and abilities are welcome to join. The gym offers a fun and disciplined environment for children and adults to learn the art of Taekwon-Do and work towards achieving their black belt. Realistic goals are set for each student, ensuring they have something to strive for and are constantly gaining knowledge and improving their skills.
In addition to regular classes, JULIA CROSS TKD also offers merit badges for kids, providing them with a sense of achievement and recognition for their hard work. The gym follows a written curriculum that is taught worldwide and conducts gradings based on this curriculum. Students also have the opportunity to participate in tournaments, seminars, and other events for those who wish to take their training to the next level.
JULIA CROSS TKD is proud to be affiliated with the United Kingdom Taekwon-Do Federation (UKTF) and follows the teachings of the late founder, General Choi Hong Hi 9th degree. Taekwon-Do is practised in over 100 countries worldwide, and by being a part of the International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF), JULIA CROSS TKD ensures that it is providing instruction in line with global standards.
