JSC Taekwondo Calgary is a martial arts club located in Calgary, Alberta, offering training in Taekwondo for individuals of all ages and skill levels. The club provides a welcoming and supportive environment for students to develop discipline, fitness, self-confidence, and assertiveness through Taekwondo training.
The club's programs include children's Taekwondo classes, focusing on instilling positive self-esteem and creating a foundation of discipline and fitness. Adult classes are also offered, with sessions held every Tuesday and Thursday. The high-performance team at JSC Taekwondo Calgary prepares and trains intensively for tournaments in both Poomsae and Sparring, with participation in official tournaments held by Alberta Taekwondo Association and Taekwondo Canada.
JSC Taekwondo Calgary is led by qualified instructors, including Master JJ Park and Master JW Lee, both highly experienced and certified black belt instructors. Master Park, a 6th Degree Black Belt certified by Kuk-Ki-Won, offers Olympic style Taekwondo approved by the World Taekwondo Federation, with over 20 years of teaching experience. Master Lee, a 5th Degree Black Belt certified by Kuk-Ki-Won, brings over 10 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor's degree in Taekwondo from Dan-Kuk University in Korea.
In addition to traditional Taekwondo training, JSC Taekwondo Calgary also offers opportunities for students to apply their skills to movie/stunt performances, with the club serving as a designated stunt rehearsal/training facility in Calgary. The black belts and candidates at JSC Taekwondo Calgary showcase their Taekwondo skills in an annual theatre performance, demonstrating their dedication and expertise in the martial art.
