Our academy offers a diverse range of dance classes, including Ballet, Tap, Modern Theatre, Jazz (including street dance, contemporary, and limbering). Students have the opportunity to showcase their talents by performing on stage in shows and can also work towards taking examinations under the ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) exam board.

Our experienced and dedicated teachers make all the difference at J. R Dance Academy. Meet Miss Jade, our lead instructor, who has been immersed in the world of dance since a young age. She attended weekly dance classes in Ballet, Tap, Modern, and Jazz, taking examinations with the ISTD exam board and performing in shows regularly.
Miss Jade pursued her ambition to teach by successfully auditioning for Preston Dance College and gaining her Diploma in Dance Education (DDE) qualifications in ISTD Modern and Tap. She later expanded her skills by attending NLDA where she qualified to teach ISTD Imperial classical Ballet (DDE). With her passion for dance and years of teaching experience, Miss Jade has loved watching her students develop, progress, and share the same love for dance that she does. Rest assured, all our teachers hold enhanced DBS disclosures and are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable learning environment.
For ease of access, our dance academy is conveniently located at Victoria Hall, 37 Knowsley Street, Bolton, BL1 2AS. We also offer a selection of shoes that can be borrowed for your first dance class, and footwear and uniforms can be purchased at a later date.
To ensure our students can plan their schedules accordingly, we have provided our term dates for 2023. Our Spring term runs from Tuesday 3rd January to Saturday 1st April, with a half-term break from Monday 20th February to Sunday 26th February. The Summer term starts on Tuesday 18th April and ends on Saturday 22nd July, with a half-term break from Monday 29th May to Sunday 4th June. Finally, the Autumn term begins on Tuesday 5th September and concludes on Saturday 16th December, with a half-term break from Monday 30th October to Sunday 5th November.
