JLD School of Dance, located in Newbury, is a renowned dance school that has been training young performers since 1991. Founded by two best friends and trained dancers, Jo Eustace and Lucy Bamford, JLD began in a small hall before eventually moving to its current state-of-the-art studios.
Jo and Lucy have been instrumental in the success of JLD, sending numerous students to top performing arts schools and prestigious institutions such as The Royal Ballet School and Elmhurst. Their dedication and passion for dance is evident in the exceptional training provided at the school.
In 2010, Hayley joined the JLD team and has been an integral part of the school ever since. Together, Jo, Lucy, and Hayley ensure that every student receives the highest quality dance and performing arts training in a friendly and nurturing environment.
JLD School of Dance offers a wide range of classes to cater to different age groups and interests. These include ballet, modern dance, acrobatic dance, pre-school classes, commercial jazz, musical theatre, adult classes, tap dance, contemporary dance, and drama/acting. All classes are taught by trained professionals who specialise in various dance disciplines, including ISTD, RAD, LAMDA, and Acrobatic Arts.
