The Jitterbug class schedule for Tuesdays is as follows: From 8.00 pm, there is the Essential Jitterbug class, which is suitable for beginners. From 9.00 pm, there is the Improvers Jitterbug class, for those who feel ready to progress.
Jitterbug is a playful and varied dance style, suited to a range of retro music and even some modern tunes. The classes incorporate Charleston, and there is plenty of practice time and no pressure. The Jitterbug Essentials session is ideal for beginners, as it includes reminders from previous weeks and helps build confidence. Partner dances generally have a 'Leader' and a 'Follower', so we try to seek a reasonable balance in each class. Couples can choose to remain together in the class or spend some time practising with other dancers.
