The age of 15, and now at the age of 70, he continues to study and practice to this day.
At the Jinenkan Ottawa Dojo, students have the opportunity to learn various martial arts techniques, such as Classical Jujutsu, Kenjutsu, Kodachi, and Combatives. Classes are held at Team Bushido Mixed Martial Arts on Merivale Road in Ottawa, Ontario. The Dojo welcomes students of all skill levels and focuses on teaching traditional martial arts in a safe and respectful environment.
The monthly fee for one class per week is $60, and students are encouraged to purchase a student keiko-gi (training uniform) from The Martial Artist in Orleans, Ontario. In addition to the keiko-gi, students will need a pair of indoor-only running shoes and a bokken (wooden sword) for Kenjutsu practice. For partner training, a fukuro-shinai covered in leather is required to prevent accidental injuries.
The Jinenkan Ottawa Dojo is dedicated to preserving and passing on the ancient martial arts of Japan as taught by Manaka Unsui Sensei.
