The ECU Jets Netball Club is thrilled to announce an exciting local Netball event that is not to be missed! We are inviting all interested players to join us for a day of intense competition and fun. Get ready to showcase your skills on the court and meet other passionate Netball enthusiasts.
This event is made possible thanks to the generous support of our sponsor, Storage King Joondalup. As the largest self storage organisation in Australasia, Storage King provides us with secure storage for all our sports merchandise, equipment, and uniforms. We are incredibly grateful for their assistance in making this event a success.
In addition to our sponsor, we are thrilled to partner with Just Play, a platform that allows individual players to be allocated to Netball teams without the hassle of finding seven other players yourself. If you're interested in joining a team and making new connections, simply register through the link provided below.
We also have some exciting news regarding our club's leadership. Whitney Barron has been appointed as the new Operations Manager for the ECU Jets Sport Association. With her passion for building a strong sense of community within our club, we know she will thrive in this pivotal role.
As our first Annual General Meeting (AGM) approaches, we would like to remind all Jets members of the importance of attending. The AGM, scheduled for Monday the 16th of April, will involve the election of members to the Committee of Management. Your participation is crucial in shaping the future of our club, so we hope to see you there!
For those who plan on attending the AGM, please take note of the venue details. It will be held at the Joondalup Campus in Room 201, on the 2nd Floor, Building 21. Don't forget to bring your Student ID card for identification purposes.
Lastly, we are proud to announce that our ECU Jets Mens AFL team will be participating in “Rainbow Round” during our round 1 home clash against Piara Waters. In support of the “lace up for the love of sport” campaign championed by Skins, all our players will be wearing rainbow shoelaces and socks. Join us in celebrating equality and inclusivity in sport!
We are also excited to introduce our newest addition to the coaching staff. Seb Bernhard, an experienced goalkeeper, has joined us as our goalkeeper coach for 2017. His intense training sessions have gained recognition, with one of them going viral on the popular UK Facebook page “The Sports Bible.” We are confident that Seb will bring valuable expertise to our team.
To top it all off, we have finalised our leadership team for the upcoming Futsal season. Alvin Goh has been named Head Coach and Head of Sport, and Ryan Atkinson will serve as the Senior Head Coach. With their expertise and dedication, we are confident that both teams will achieve great success on the court.
We can't wait to see all the talented players in action at our local Netball event. So mark your calendars, grab your Netball gear, and get ready for an unforgettable day of competition and camaraderie. See you there, Jets!
