Jen Benson Pilates is a renowned Pilates studio located at 266 Croston Road, PR26 6 PN. The owner, Jen Benson, holds a Specialist Diploma in Mat Pilates provided by the Future Fit Training School of Pilates in New Zealand. This diploma combines advanced study and examinations for anatomy and physiology, as well as Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced level mat Pilates. Jen also specialises in Pilates for Common Orthopaedic Conditions, Pilates Small Mat Equipment, and Pre and Post-natal Exercise.
As a registered member of the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs), Jen's qualification is recognised at Level 3 status. Prior to her journey into Pilates teaching, Jen had been a participant in various forms of exercise. However, it was her recent experience with Pilates after having her youngest child that she found a deep love for the method. She appreciates the dual benefits it offers for both the body and mind, particularly its ability to alleviate stress.
Jen, a working mother of two daughters, made the decision to leave her job as an Administrator to pursue a career in teaching Pilates. She hopes to share her passion and enthusiasm for Pilates with others, so they too can experience its many benefits.
Pilates is a unique method of body conditioning that focuses on elongating and rebalancing the body. As a low impact exercise system, it emphasises the importance of stretching and strengthening the entire body to improve balance, muscle-strength, flexibility, and posture. Each exercise in Pilates adheres to a set of principles designed to enhance the overall effectiveness of the workout.
At Jen Benson Pilates, our classes are aimed at beginners with progression options available. Our Pilates classes are suitable for individuals of all ages and abilities. No booking is necessary for daytime classes, but booking is required for evening sessions.
