Jazz Dance Classes at Dancetra

Dancetra offers a range of jazz dance classes that follow the accredited syllabus of the Southern Federation of Dance (SFD). From beginner jazz to advanced levels, the students at Dancetra have the opportunity to explore their passion for dance and develop their skills in a supportive and stimulating environment.

For our little dancers, the Junior Jazz classes focus on building foundational skills such as posture, technique, flexibility, coordination, rhythm, musicality, and performance. These classes provide the perfect platform for our young dancers to immerse themselves in the world of dance while honing their gross motor skills and coordination.

As our students progress to the intermediate and advanced levels, they are presented with more challenging choreography and techniques. The goal is to develop their alignment, rhythm, and performance qualities, ensuring that they reach their full potential.

We believe in celebrating the hard work and achievements of our students, which is why we organise end-of-term showcases for parents to witness their children's progress and learning. It's a joyous occasion that brings the whole dance community together.

But the real highlight of the year is our annual end-of-year concert. Held in November, this extravaganza allows our talented dancers to showcase their skills on a grand stage, dressed in theatrical costumes. It's an awe-inspiring event that brings immense pride and joy to our dancers and their families.
