Provide you with a safety briefing, introduce you to your guide, and answer any questions you may have. 3 Rafting Adventure Begins Once at the river, you'll suit up in your lifejacket, grab a paddle, and hop in the boat. Your guide will give you instruction on paddling and safety before embarking on your 9 km journey down the Athabasca River. 4 Take-Out and Return After an exhilarating ride, you'll reach the take-out point where you'll hop off the boat and onto the bus for a short ride back to town.
