Hey team! The Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre (JCCC) in Toronto has been a lively spot for Japanese culture since 1963. Ken, our organizer, would love for you to drop by and check it out. The JCCC is all about bringing people together to enjoy Japanese traditions and modern culture. There are some cool martial arts classes, fun festivals, amazing performances, and inspiring art exhibitions that everyone can enjoy.
Don't miss the Moriyama Nikkei Heritage Centre and the JCCC Art Gallery while you're there! They offer a deep dive into the stories and achievements of the Nikkei community. The MNHC covers the history of Japanese Canadians, while the Art Gallery gives a spotlight to contemporary art and design.
As a not-for-profit, the JCCC aims to enrich lives by celebrating Japanese culture. Ken and the dedicated Board of Directors—including President Chris Hope, VP of Heritage Karen Webb, Finance Chair Linda Ono, and Executive Director James Heron—want to promote understanding, inclusion, and friendship.
So why not join the JCCC community? It's a great place to connect, learn, and share in the vibrant Japanese culture and heritage. See you there!
