A professional approach to training is taken at the clinics, with each session including the following key components:
- Goal Setting: Before and after sessions, players are encouraged to bring a diary or notepad for goal setting.
- Fitness and Conditioning: Physical conditioning and specific agility drills designed to improve tennis-related fitness.
- Skill acquisition and development: Highly focused warm-ups aimed at developing fundamental skills required to play at an elite level, including hand-eye reflex, perception, and decision-making.
- On Court Tactical Driven Drilling: Drills with a focus on tactics, game sense, and individual strength development.
- Open Court Competitive Drilling: Competitive drills that allow players to move up through the courts and develop their individual strengths.
- Serve, Return & Point Play: Assistance and technique work on serving, returning, and general advice during point play.
The January Tennis Clinics are available at Ambiwerra Tennis Centre in Corinda. The clinics are suitable for players of various levels. The price for the Holiday Clinic is $26/month for UTR 0-7 tennis training sessions from 8 am to 11 am daily, and $26/month for UTR tennis training sessions from 1 pm to 6 pm daily.
If it rains during the camp, an SMS will be sent on the morning of the camp to notify participants. If rain is not set in, the camp may continue with off-court activities. If rain persists, a refund or makeup camp day will be offered.
