James Curley FlyFishing caters to anglers of all abilities and ages. The Coigach and Assynt areas are home to hundreds of lochs, offering fertile environments and a wide array of wildlife. Expect to catch beautiful wild brown trout, with some lochs even hiding the elusive ferrox monsters. Average catches are just under 1/2 a lb, but the deeper you go, the more opportunities arise for encountering larger trout and more wildlife.
For those after an even bigger thrill, James and his team organise guided trips to west coast spate rivers, where salmon and sea trout run throughout the season. With the right conditions, you might reel in that elusive bar of silver.
James Curley FlyFishing provides guided experiences for individuals, groups, families, and seasoned anglers. Each trip is designed to meet your specific needs, with our pricing including guide services, fishing permits, and equipment hire.
For trout enthusiasts, our bank fishing rates start at £250 for a full day of guided trout fishing and £200 for a half-day. Additional participants can join for £40 each. Prefer boat fishing? We offer guided boat fishing on lochs starting at £270 for a full day, with additional participants also joining for £40 each. For salmon and sea trout fishing, our guided trips start at £350 for a full day, with £40 per person thereafter.
Families are welcome too—children under 13 join for free when accompanied by a paying adult.
In addition to our freshwater offerings, James is launching a crowdfunding campaign to finance a boat for saltwater fly fishing from Ullapool's new harbour development. Interested guests can support this project by visiting our crowdfunding page and exploring opportunities to contribute, including advance bookings for saltwater fly fishing trips and the chance to name one of our successful saltwater flies.
