James Atthey Golf Academy, located within the Stokesley Golf Range Complex in Middlesbrough, is a golf instruction facility that has been serving golfers for over 10 years. Headed by James Atthey, a fully qualified Class AA PGA Golf Professional with 14 years of experience in coaching, the academy takes a multidisciplined approach to improve swing technique, mental approach, and psychological abilities. As an accomplished golfer himself, James started his training in Spain under the supervision of Philip Murphy, the former Head Irish Junior Coach. He continued his training and became fully qualified at Beedles Lake Golf Club in Leicestershire. James has also played on both the Euro Pro and Tamsel tours, winning various tournaments throughout the Midlands. More than a decade ago, he moved to Stokesley Golf Range to establish the James Atthey Golf Academy.

At the academy, James and his team offer a range of coaching options in various areas of the facility. From the Swing Studio to the Short Game Area, they utilise the different tools and spaces to tailor lessons according to the individual's needs. Whether it's group junior coaching, one-on-one coaching for adults or juniors, or even a 9-hole course lesson, the academy ensures that all lessons include club hire, range balls, and green fees where applicable.
