At Irish Karate Kyokushinkai, we offer training in the traditional Japanese martial art of Kyokushin Karate. Our club is affiliated with the International Federation of Karate and follows the teachings and principles of Kyokushin Karate, known for its rigorous training and full-contact sparring.
With dojos located in Cork, Dublin, Galway, Laois, Mayo, Sligo, and Westmeath, we provide opportunities for students of all ages and skill levels to learn and practise Kyokushin Karate. Our dedicated and experienced instructors are committed to helping students develop physical fitness, mental discipline, and self-confidence through their training.
Founded in 1978 by Gerry O'Sullivan, the Irish Karate Kyokushinkai has a rich history and tradition in martial arts. Under the leadership of Chief Instructor Shihan Kevin Callan, the club has grown and flourished, offering classes, workshops, and events for members to enhance their karate skills and knowledge.
We also take pride in our commitment to child protection and safety, as evidenced by our Child Protection Policy available for download on our website. The safety and well-being of our members is a top priority for us at Irish Karate Kyokushinkai.
