Iqaluit Aquatic Centre

The Iqaluit Aquatic Centre is a facility in Iqaluit, offering a wide range of aquatic and fitness programs for all ages and abilities. The Aquatic Centre features a 6 lane, 25 meter lap pool, a leisure pool with spray features, a lazy river, saunas, a hot tub, and a full Fitness Centre. There is also a multipurpose room available for rent for parties, meetings, and training sessions. The room is equipped with deck access, a television, DVD player, tables, chairs, a microwave, sink, dishwasher, and a fridge.

The centre is committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all guests, and is a scent-free facility. Visitors are asked to refrain from wearing or using scented products to ensure the comfort of all patrons. The Iqaluit Aquatic Centre has received support from the Government of Canada and FCM for energy-efficient initiatives and continues to provide top-notch facilities and programs for the community.

In addition to regular programming, the Aquatic Centre also hosts special events throughout the year, such as National Indigenous Peoples Day, St. Jean Baptiste Day, Canada Day, Qaumaniq Day Camp, Mass Registration, Volunteer Awards, Santa Claus Parade, and the Holiday Qaumakuluit Contest. These events bring the community together to celebrate, recognize achievements, and enjoy festive activities.
