At Invergordon Judo Club, Head Coach Damien, equipped with a UKCC Level 2 certification, alongside Allan, Shep, and Jamie, all UKCC Level 1 certified, focus on developing key skills like respect, strength, fitness, fun, and confidence. They train every Saturday at the Games Hall in Invergordon Leisure Centre.
Training times are divided by age groups. Kai Grades (ages 5-7) train from 09:00 to 09:50, Mon Grades (ages 8-14) from 10:00 to 11:30, and Seniors (ages 14+) from 11:30 to 13:00. To join, you must register with Judo Scotland and get a provisional or full licence.
Personal hygiene is non-negotiable. Clean hands and feet, short nails, and a tidy judogi are essential. Long hair must be tied with non-metallic bands, and all jewellery must be removed before stepping on the mat.
