Lin Shin began to develop his own approach to the practice of Tai Chi, incorporating elements of the Taoist arts and his own experiences with healing.
In 1970, Master Moy Lin Shin immigrated to Canada and settled in Toronto. He began teaching Taoist Tai Chi arts to a small group of students, spreading the benefits of the practice to the local community. As interest in his teachings grew, he established the Fung Loy Kok Institute of Taoism to further promote the practice of Tai Chi and Taoist arts.
The Sherbrooke location of the Fung Loy Kok Institute, known as “Institut De Taosme Fung Loy Kok Tai Chi Taoste Sherbrooke - Des Nations-Ouest”, is a welcoming and inclusive space where students of all ages and abilities come together to learn and practice Tai Chi.
