The club was founded by Jo Robb, who was inspired by her experience as a Games Maker at the London 2012 Olympic Games. Witnessing the passion and inspiration the Games brought forth in people of all ages, Jo was determined to recreate that enthusiasm in her own hometown. In 2014, Ian Davis joined the club, bringing his expertise in Tumbling. Inspired by his daughter's interest in gymnastics, Ian embarked on his coaching journey to contribute to Inspire Gymnastics Academy's mission.
