Welcome to Inspire Dance School, located in Nottinghamshire, England. Formerly known as The Valerie Burnett School of Dance for nearly 40 years, Inspire Dance School has recently been rebranded in 2021 under the new leadership of Valerie's niece, Stephanie.
Inspire Dance School offers a range of classes in Ballroom, Latin American, Sequence, and Freestyle dancing. These classes are taught by dedicated, experienced, and highly qualified NATD teachers. The school is committed to sharing their love of dance in a fun and friendly environment, helping students of all ages and abilities to develop confidence and create lasting memories.
The team at Inspire Dance School consists of passionate individuals who are experts in their field. Stephanie Karlonas, the Principal, holds the prestigious FNATD qualification, while Janet Viles, also an experienced teacher, holds the LNATD qualification. Valerie Burnett, a senior teacher and NATD examiner, brings her wealth of knowledge and expertise to the school. The team is further supported by a group of student teachers, including Millie Jeynes, Amber Donington, Bethan Keen, and Morgan Viles.
The classes at Inspire Dance School cater to a wide range of age groups and skill levels. The Rainbow classes are specially designed for children between the ages of 2 and 7. In these classes, the youngest dancers are introduced to the foundations of Ballroom, Latin, and Freestyle dancing. They have the opportunity to work towards NATD exams and can also participate in competitions if they choose to do so.
The Inters and Seniors classes build on the foundation set in the Rainbow classes. Here, children further develop their technique and passion for dance while building confidence and forming friendships with their fellow dancers. Competing locally and beyond is a common practise for many of the students in these classes.
Inspire Dance School also offers adult classes that are both fun and sociable. Whether you are a seasoned dancer or a complete beginner, the classes are designed to have you dancing around the room after just one week. If you have a partner, great! But if not, don't worry as the teachers are more than happy to partner you up.
For those looking for more personalised instruction, private lessons are available upon request for both children and adults, subject to availability.
