Ilyeo Taekwondo Club in Chiswick, London is a welcoming martial arts school. Organised by Azamat Bekturov, the club ensures members feel at home right from the start. It runs a structured programme that respects martial arts traditions while incorporating dynamic aspects of Olympic Taekwondo.
Azamat believes martial arts boost fitness, self-defence, discipline, confidence, and dedication. The club works with individuals to help them succeed in everyday life. To enhance training, the club provides high-quality equipment like mats, kicking pads, punching pads, punching bags, kicking shields, and sparring gear.
Classes cater to all levels, from beginners to experienced athletes. They are structured progressively to help members develop skills effectively. Members are encouraged to bring a towel and water bottle to stay hydrated during training.
The club offers classes for kids and adults. Kids' classes are on Mondays, Thursdays, and Sundays, divided into age groups: 4–7 years and 8–12 years. Adult classes are also on Mondays, Thursdays, and Sundays. There’s also an advanced sparring class on Tuesdays for those wanting to elevate their skills.
Azamat is proud of his team of experienced trainers who are certified and insured. Each trainer works at the pace of the individual to help them achieve their goals. Head Coach Azamat, a Black Belt 4th Dan registered with Kukkiwon, is a certified coach and holds a CRB certification. He has received a citation for sport excellence from the President of The World Taekwondo and is a former British National Champion. Assistant Coach Joseph Norfolk, a Black Belt 1st Dan and CRB certified, is one of the first students of the club and a national/international medallist.
