Welcome to Ilfracombe Bowling Club, one of the oldest clubs in Devon, founded in 1893. With up to seven rinks on one of the best greens in the county, we offer a warm and friendly welcome to both members and visiting clubs.
While our membership has reduced in recent years, we are eager to increase our numbers. We are proud to have a number of County players amongst our members, who participate in both County Competitions and our own Club Competitions.
At Ilfracombe Bowling Club, we provide a well-stocked bar and an excellent clubhouse that reflects both our historic roots and the present-day atmosphere. In winter, we offer short mat bowls almost every day, as well as a full-sized snooker table, 9 pin skittles, darts, and cribbage. We are keen to expand our winter activities, and we aim to hold at least one social evening every month.
Ilfracombe itself is a charming seaside town located near Exmoor, in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Visitors to our club can enjoy the range of activities available in the town, as well as the hospitality of its hotels and guest houses.
