IKKU Sutton Kyokushin was established in the late 90s by Shihans Alan Cleary and Tom Smith. Their mission? To teach pure Kyokushin Karate, free from political fuss. They started at the Guide hall in Wallington, and training still happens there today! Over the years, the club has grown and now includes dojos at Sutton Arena, David Lloyd in Cheam, and the Phoenix Centre.
At Sutton Kyokushin, training sticks to traditional Kyokushin methods, covering Kihon (Basics), Kumite (Clicker/Knockdown), and Kata. The club's open to juniors and adults with sessions on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.
